We are often asked if our style is “reportage” or “traditional”. We believe that most Brides want natural-looking, spontaneous photographs showing all the emotions of the day, along with some beautiful photographs of the main people involved. In a typical wedding covered by Richard you will find lots of reportage-style photographs taken in real time, as real events happen, and Richard will happily combine this with the more classic posed photographs with family and friends, along with stunning contemporary portraits of Bride and Groom. stand around posing for hours on end, so we keep things moving and we make it fun!

How soon should I book you? Chances are that if you have seen and liked Richard’s work, someone else has too! So as soon as you are sure of your wedding date, book us immediately! We are often booked months in advance, so the earlier you contact us, the more likely we are to be available for your Wedding!

Why should I book you? Richard will work closely with you to ensure that your Wedding Photographs truly reflect yourselves, your tastes and the unique atmosphere that you will have worked so hard to create at your wedding. Richard will then give you 100% dedication on the day. He is a friendly, fast-working photographer with an artist’s eye and a truly professional approach.

Tell me about Richard Kerber. Richard is a member of the Master Photographer’s Association, which means that he is a fully-qualified full-time professional photographer. His work has been submitted for examination by the MPA and has been deemed of extremely high standard and
quality. Booking a member of the MPA or equivalent organisation ensures that you have booked a qualified competent photographer who will not let you down. Richard has always been interested in photography and opened his first studio in 1983 in Islington, moving the business to Whetstone in 1995. Richard is a full-time Wedding, portrait, schools and events photographer. Richard is friendly and approachable and (some people say!) a good laugh !! As well as his professional skill he will also put you at ease on your wedding day, which will result in natural expressions and unforced smiles!

What is your style of photography? Richard’s style is a blend of what is commonly called reportage photography, along with stunning contemporary portraits of Bride & Groom, and the more classic (but still fun!) group photographs which make your album complete. The reportage approach allows you to relax and enjoy your day without endless posing. The photographs are spontaneous and natural, clearly showing what a great day everyone had, as well as capturing little moments that might have
otherwise gone unnoticed. You will also want a record of the important people at your wedding and that is where the group photographs fit in and provide a complete picture of the day. Bride & Groom portraits, although directed and posed to a certain extent, ensure that your love and happiness shines through. This blend of photography captures the true essence of your wedding and gives you sensational images to cherish in years to come.
